Price Break Improvements
It is common for a customer to ask for a series of quantities for the same product so they can determine the most suitable qty/price balance for their requirement.
Previously we have handled this with our Price Breaks function by using a single quote line and related recipe and then systematically re-running the recipes with the various quantities to get the distinct prices and insert them as new quote lines.
There was some confusion though because this resulted in multiple quote lines related to the same single recipe. We have made the change now to automatically duplicate the recipe for each row to ensure consistent workings end-to-end for each qty break.
Each qty line now has a corresponding recipe in the More panel, and the relationship between the source line [1] which shows as a thicker bar, and its related siblings [2] is now also graphically represented.
This change also now correctly allows for pivoted description and qty/price breaks in the quote reports.
Feature Based Security Improvements
Following on from the initial implementation for feature based security from the previous release we are adding restricting access to the Recipe Calulator [2]. We have also refactored the naming from Security Groups to Security Roles [1].
Client Portal Quote and Order Visibility
We have added a new heirarchy of settings to handle the automatic setting of the client visible attribute in both Quotes and Orders. This functions as follows:
In Settings > Business there are now Global Settings for both Quote and Orders. These force ALL quotes and orders when either created from scratch or converted (Quote to Order) to be visible to ALL configured client portal users. Note portal users only see their own companies related Quotes and Orders as if they had created the Quote or Order in the portal itself.
In Companies > Profile there are now new Customer Specific Settings that allow you to specify on a customer by customer basis if Quotes or Orders are created (or when converted) are client visible in the portal by default.
These settings are applied in order from Global to Customer level. So if the global values are set to true, they will be applied regardless of any customer level setting. If the global settings are false, but customer level settings are true then they will be applied only to that customer. If none are set, then by default quotes and orders are not client visible, unless created from within the portal.
Note that even if both of these teirs of settings are not used, you can still set individual quotes and orders as client visible in the More section at the bottom of any quote or order.
Default Item for Deposit Lines
We have added the ability to optionally set a default Item (and by association default Xero/MYOB Item) for Deposit Invoice Lines. This automates setting the Xero/MYOB on invoice lines and as a result the correct linking to the underlying GL Account for the line.
This setting is applied within the Profit Centre (as M-Power allows distinct Xero/MYOB connections per Profit Centre) as shown below.
Live Timing - Added Edit Time Segment
We have added the ability to directly edit a time segment in the live timing view similar to how Clock-On records can be edited. Previously you had to drill into timing in the job sub job timing popup.
Couriers - Description Field Length Increase
The Description field in the Courier Details view has been increased from 50 characters to 255 characters to match the Name field.
Fixed issue with Re-Work orders based on Client Visible Orders
Customers using the Client Portal by default have their orders marked as client visible. Orders created in the main M-Power app are by default not client visible. This fix resolves an issue where a re-work order created from a client visible, was also client visible.
The Inventory Item (Material) Dialog now accepts values less than whole numbers
While most inventory is recorded in components or sheets, etc. some items require being transacted in part quantities like 0.1 of a roll etc. The inventory item adjust function now accepts these values and displays the totals to 2 decimal places for locations.
Fixed issue with Quote Details view loading if Primary Address Deleted
We fixed an edge-case issue when a Primary Address is deleted it affected the loading of quotes for that customer.
Fixed an issue where newly added Blank Recipes not adding to the Quote Grid
We have fixed an issue where adding a new blank recipe was not adding correctly to the quote grid. Also improved the same for Orders.
New Report Engine Purchase Order and Invoice Datasets
We have extended the datasets for the new reporting engine to include purchase orders and invoices.
Fixed issue with Order Email Confirmation/Jobcard for New Reporting Engine
We fixed an issue with emailing jobcard from the order details view. We also cleaned up some of the subjects/filename conventions.
Fixed top level document searches that include &
We fixed all top level documents including Leads, Quotes, Orders, Despatches, Invoices, Purchases, Inwards Goods and SUpplier Bills to correctly handle ampersands. This was already in place for Companies. This is most common when searching say quotes for a customer with a name like 'A & A...'
