An optional feature that is available to allow emailing into Leads, Quotes, Quote Requests, Orders, Purchases and Invoices.
Quote Requests
The Quote Requests system provides a queue for any quote requests that are received and allows status to be set and progression of the quote process to be visible and maintained until the quote request is converted to a Quote or closed.
Simply forward an email to the quote requests email address (shown below) and it will be added to the end of the queue.
You can view more about Quote Requests here.
Other Document Types
For all other document types, the email subject is used to assign the email to the correct document. The subject line is searched for the patterns [[1234]], [1234] and #1234 where 1234 is the document id e.g. Quote 1234
Upon receipt, the email file is placed in the Files section and a note added to the Notes section. The filename is created from the email subject prepended with the date and time.
When you first preview the email a pdf copy is created, this takes a few seconds but ensures that subsequent viewing of the email is virtually instant. The original email is always available to download if required.
In preview you can also access and download any attachments in the email if required. You can view more information in the following articles.
Email Addresses
The inbound email addresses are based on your M-Power Tenant Name. i.e. if you access M-Power at https://www.crm.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au then 'mycompany' is your tenant name. In this case your inbound email addresses would be as follows:
companies@inbound-mail.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au
leads@inbound-mail.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au
quotes@inbound-mail.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au
quoterequests@inbound-mail.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au
orders@inbound-mail.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au
purchases@inbound-mail.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au
invoices@inbound-mail.mycompany.m-powersoftware.com.au
Note
While inbound mail is scanned for both viruses and spam, we recommend user employ their own virus protection and scanning systems as no scanning solution is 100% effective.
