Particularly in sign and graphics printing, most products are made using a limited number of basic workflows.
A great way to build out your product library is to fully document each of these workflows in the form of a base product recipe and then copying a product variation to make another product.
This article explains how to do this
Copying A Product Variation to Make a New Product
The easiest way to make a new product is to copy a variation of an existing product to make the new product. The steps to this are
- Drill into the product from the Products list in settings
- Click on the product Variations node on the tree structure to the left
- Press the copy icon to open the Copy Product form
- Press the [Create recipe Product] button to create a new product based on that variation
- The new product will open.
- Check the following settings which are reset in the copy
- Price Method - under Price Structure
- Use Wizard - under the recipe
