Printing a Quote
The quote can be printed using the [Print Quote] button in the top right of the screen. The quote's content is generated using a mail merge method where text "placeholders" are replaced with data from the quote.
Pressing the print quote button will open the quote as a PDF in either a popup form or another tab (depending on the browser). You can then press the save button (browser dependent) to save the PDF for emailing through your email client or printing. The quote layout is fixed at the time we set up your system but can be configured to your requirements by contacting support.
Emailing the Quote
You can email the quote by pressing the email button adjacent to the print button. This will open the email form, which will contain default content copied from settings. Type the recipient in (1) - by default; this will be the email address of the select quote contact. (2) Allows you to select from pre-determined content options that you have set up to copy into the body of the email (3). Additional files can be sent with the PDF quote by selecting in (4). Send the email using the button (5).
Modifying the Quote Letter Content
When the quote is created, the system will copy the default quote format and text from the settings. You can modify the quote letter content for a specific quote by opening the [more] button (1) below the quote grid. You can then open the [advanced] tab (2) to show the quote header and footer text. Pressing the pencil button (2) opens the header text area for editing (3). Note that text items enclosed in the ~tilde ~ characters are "Placeholders" and will be replaced by data from the quote. You can also edit the footer text (4). You can make permanent changes to the format of the letter in the settings.
